Your insurance company will not call you and give you the details, since they will pay what is owed to the other driver period. But even though this is a minor accident, the other driver and/or any passengers in the car could report that they are injured, and would be owed for their injuries. If that happens, then this claim could be open for months or even years to settle the injury claim/s.

I suggest that you just wait about a month and call to see if the claim is still open or paid.

good luck

You will not be contacted by your insurance company as to the amount they paid or will pay. That is totally up to them after their investigation is complete. Other than pictures of your vehicle and your statement, you will be left out of the loop. When you paid for your policy, you entered into a contractual obligation to allow your insurance company to handle the claim as they see fit.

When you see your premiums increase and/or apply for coverage with another company, you'll then find out.

You won't be notified - you'll have to wait and call in a month or two, and ask the insurance company or your agent, to tell you.

It may take a few days to a few weeks. The insurance company will want to speak to you and to the other driver to investigate how the accident happened. Once the insurance company has made contact with both of you, the other driver will be able to take his/her vehicle to a collision center for an estimate. Pictures of the damage will be taken. The other driver will be given a rental car until the vehicle is repaired. The time it takes to fix the car varies. You can expect your insurance premium to go up.

You may only find out that information when your insurance company tells you in whatever manner they choose to use. In MA, the at fault driver seems to find out from the Merit Rating Bureau after points have been assigned for a major/minor accident. Most times you'll only learn the damage in general terms like major or minor although nothing prevents you from seeking that information.

It's going to vary, by policy type and any possible exclusions, but generally you'll be covered.

There are several things here:
- if you are an employee and you get insurance through your employer, you would be allowed to do all these "danger" things (skiing, skating, white water rafting, airplane jumping, etc) AS LONG AS it was only recreational activities. If you were a professional skater, you would need professional skating insurance.
- this is the same if you get your insurance because you are the child of someone that gets their insurance through work.

If you get private insurance, the application is a lot longer. Some of the questions are do you participate in this high risk sports and how much do you participate in this high risk sports. If you LIE then, you can invalidate your health insurance (just like if you lied about being healthy when you really knew you weren't). If you tell the truth, you would not be invalidating your insurance. But you might have to pay extra for the insurance or buy extra insurance.

This should be covered on the auto insurance. Contact your agent and file a claim. If you don't think it's being handled correctly, or there are expenses that the insurance doesn't cover, then consult a lawyer.

Call your Insurance agent or Company. I do not know the law in CA, but NY is a no fault state which means your company pays your medical bills. If you want to sue the other driver then you should call a lawyer after you file the claim. You need to act promptly and get medical verification. Sooner the better.

You need to contact your insurance company and they will point you in the right direction. You can also get your own lawyer. But you shouldn't expect them just to right a check. It will be up to you to prove that you have whiplash.
